Weekly computer instruction time lets students practice keyboarding, learn simple technology skills and internet researching skills, and engage with additional practice work for academic subjects.
The Hope Horizon Prep Academy Intervention Specialist Team provides services to those students who need small groups and/or one-on-one instruction as well as the regular
classroom instructional time. Our team works with students who have a written plan created for students with learning disabilities by all those involved with the child. It’s a team process and every voice is heard.
Teaming Process
Our teachers work and collaborate across grade levels to guarantee every student receives the instruction and intervention needed to be successful in their learning through vertical teaming process.
English/Language Arts
Math
Our STEM program keeps students engaged, is hands on, reinforces science, math, and English concepts, incorporates technology skills, connects students with the real world, and introduces student to various STEM careers. Through this type of interactive learning, students become designers through technology and it allows students to collaborate, build off one another's artistic and inventive designs and ideas, and get them excited about what they develop in the process.

Hope Horizon Prep Academy Enrichment program will introduce music. Through music, it helps to reinforce students' understanding of music concepts, explores their creativity, and enhances their learning experience.
The development of self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills that are necessary for success in school, work, and life is known as social-emotional learning (SEL).
Academically, professionally, and socially, people with strong social-emotional skills are better able to deal with everyday challenges. This Koala SEL assessment is addressed through our daily morning routine welcoming check.
Sensory Reflection Room
HHPA sensory room (a place of calm) allows students who have been placed out of the classroom for disruption to relax and after some time, the counselor of that room will talk with the student about the behavior/anxiety and come up with solutions to model positive behavior before the student returns to class (reflection). This sensory reflection room will be available to all students. No student will be exempt from partaking in the sensory reflection room.
